Mindfulness meditation is a form of mental training.  Scientific research now shows that we can build and strengthen our minds, just like we can build and strengthen our muscles. A mindfulness practice helps to be more present in our daily lives, to optimize our mental function and to improve our health, focus, clarity, relaxation, productivity and joy.  In this workshop, students will learn tools to help them live with greater awareness, presence, and intentionality, to work with difficult, self-defeating, and ruminating thoughts, to communicate and listen with greater care and attention to family and friends, and to identify the root cause of stress and utilize mindfulness techniques to manage it.
